As a part of a closely held private equity investment group since early 2006, Mr. Parekh has been a private equity investor and key Board member in several leading companies in India and overseas. He has been a co-founder and managing partner of the investment manager of the eIndia Venture Fund/Infinity Fund II, an affiliate of Advent International, since 2001. The Fund made investments in Indo-US cross border technology and BPO companies and has successfully liquidated these investments, some of these at high multiples of invested capital. Prior to that he was Country Advisor, View India Enterprises L.P., a fund raised from US investors by the Boston based VIEW Group that focused on investing in Indo-US cross border and technology ventures from early 1998 to late 1999. Prior to joining the VIEW Group, Mr. Parekh was President of a privately-held investment company. In that capacity, he had principal responsibility for the management of a multi-million fund dedicated to investing in Indian equities, both public and private from early 1995 to early 1998. Between 1991 and 1995, Mr. Parekh was the head of research and data operations for India’s first on-line information vendor. In that position, Mr. Parekh was the head of a group of 200 people who set up from scratch an extensive database on over 6,000 companies listed on the Indian stock exchanges. Mr. Parekh has also helped brokerage houses in India establish and organize research efforts on Indian listed companies and has worked as a consultant to various branches/departments of the government and leading private firms. Mr. Parekh has been a member of the Board of Governors of the CFA Institute. He is a Bachelor of Commerce from Bombay University's N M College of Commerce, a Fellow Chartered Accountant and a Certified Financial Analyst.
