Wipro to acquire LeanSwift Solutions
On 15 December 2021, Wipro announced the acquisition of LeanSwift Solutions, a US-based systems integrator of Infor Products for $21m.
The acquisition is in line with Wipro’s strategy to expand its cloud transformation business through Wipro FullStride Cloud Services.
LeanSwift’s consulting and implementation capabilities complement Wipro’s Infor cloud practice and will provide Wipro an edge in key transformation deals, especially in the manufacturing and distribution industry.
Wipro is a leading global information technology, consulting and business process services company.
Recognized globally for its comprehensive portfolio of services, including cognitive computing, hyper-automation, robotics, cloud, analytics and emerging technologies, it has over 220,000 employees serving clients across six continents.
Founded in 2014, LeanSwift Solutions is a system integrator for Infor Products and an Infor Alliance Partner. It provides services for ERP, e-commerce, supply chain, integration, digital transformation, warehouse management systems and business intelligence.
LeanSwift has partnerships with Infor, Magento, Nexcess, Vince, Medius, Ephesoft and Original Software.
The company recorded $18m revenue in 2020.
Based in Cocoa Beach, FL, LeanSwift has over 90 employees and development offices across US, India and Sweden.
Rationale of the transaction:
The transaction will be completed at an enterprise value of $21.0m, representing an EV / Sales multiple of c.1.2x based on 2020 financials.
LeanSwift cements Wipro’s position as a market leader in the Infor industry cloud services. It will help Wipro establish a strong, industry-focused Infor Practice that will help the company to win large deals in the cloud ERP space.
LeanSwift brings a strong portfolio of clients spanning multiple industries, including manufacturing, distribution, chemicals, fashion, and food & beverages to Wipro.
The acquisition will enable Wipro to provide a unique value proposition for Infor-based digital transformation projects by combining LeanSwift’s Infor CloudSuite expertise with its broader cloud-native digital capabilities.
The acquisition will bring over 90 experts to Wipro, who have successfully completed over 500 projects.
The transaction is expected to close by March 2022.
